Welcome to the twelfth week of my internship under the New Smyrna Museum of History (NS MOH) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In-between Friday and Monday, I watched 'Project Hail Mary' with my brother and a couple of his friends on Sunday (March 29) at Regal Theaters in Oviedo Mall. Monday (March 30) was the fifty-sixth day of my internship, and I did scan work after Jack Johnston finished cropping and uploading some scanned newspaper pages to Microsoft Teams. I almost botched the numbering after I accidently scanned a newspaper page twice, though everything was resolved before my shift ended. I ended up doing okay on my two-part exam for CGS3269-0001 (Computer Architecture Concepts) for Section 1 (16 Weeks), scoring a 60 out of 100 overall. Bizarrely, while I only scored a 17 out of 50 on the first part of that exam, I scored a 43 out of 50 on the second part. Tuesday (March 31) was the fifty-seventh day of my internship, and I did metadata work. Once my shift ende...

Welcome to the eleventh week of my internship under the New Smyrna Museum of History (NS MOH) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In-between Friday and Monday, I had to temporarily readjust my hours on Sunday (March 22) to the minimum amount because of a large workload from my other courses. Monday (March 23) was the fifty-first day of my internship, and I was not in the office due to my schedule. However, I managed to get a lot of work done and even took the time to go on a few short walks before and after a lecture for CGS2545C-0001 (Database Concepts) for Section 1 (16 Weeks). Speaking of that course, I ended up doing okay on my second exam, scoring a 64 out of 100, though an extra credit session looked unlikely. Tuesday (March 24) was the fifty-second day of my internship, and the first of two five-hour shifts from 12:00PM to 5:00PM. I did metadata work while taking a thirty-minute coffee break from 2:15PM to 2:45PM. One interesting ad I noticed was on page two of the 10/10...

Welcome to the ninth week of my internship under the New Smyrna Museum of History (NS MOH) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In-between Friday and Monday, I had to temporarily readjust my hours on Sunday (March 8) because of a scheduling conflict related to office hours for CGS2545C-0001 (Database Concepts) for Section 1 (16 Weeks). Monday (March 9) was the forty-first day of my internship, and I did scan work. The sun felt brighter than usual during my shift, something I attributed to daylight savings time. I messaged the other team members about how much space was left in the thumb drive used for storing the scanned newspaper pages because that was an issue on Thursday (March 5), and they told me to delete any unnecessary files. That went well, but I was not able to scan many pages because it took nearly an hour for everything to be resolved. Tuesday (March 10) was the forty-second day of my internship, and it felt a bit weird doing metadata work starting at 11:00AM. At one...

Welcome to the eighth week of my internship under the New Smyrna Museum of History (NS MOH) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In-between Friday and Monday, I had an early birthday celebration on Sunday (March 1) because a two-part exam for CGS3269-0001 (Computer Architecture Concepts) for Section 1 (16 Weeks) took place before and after my actual birthday on Thursday (March 5). Monday (March 2) was the thirty-sixth day of my internship, and I did metadata work because Jack Johnston was doing scan work when I entered the Center for Humanities and Digital Research (CHDR) before my shift started, something that was beneficial as I was quite tired. Tuesday (March 3) was the thirty-seventh day of my internship, and things were more stressful than usual because I got a 0 for an assignment in CGS3269 and needed to fill up on gas due to the Iran conflict. I asked Nathan Gregg who our director supervisor is for the internship, and he said Dr. Mike Shier. I needed this information for ...
